Excellent job.
I was looking for a depiction of how the sea directly above the earthquake would appear. That animation was excellent. Estimates are that the initial uprising-generated waves would have been 37 m high (120 feet).
The thing often overlooked in earthquake-generated tsunamis is that the entire water column between the sea floor and the surface is set in motion, which involves tremendous energy that is propagated from the sliding plates to the water column to the tsunami waves. |
